Metaphor of Bamboo Tree

A bamboo tree spends 3 years growing its roots under ground.

There's no growth above ground during this entire time.

But after 3 years, all of a sudden when the root network is established, the tree will start growing up to 3 feet per day.

In the short term, it looked like nothing was happening. But in the long term, a miracle occurred.

When you do something that is designed to create a long term effect, it usually doesn't look attractive in the short term.

Long term actions look unimpressive in the short term.

Your "Foundation" determines your "Altitude".
